Tituss Burgess, Steve Gouveia, Peter Gregus, Donnie Kehr, Michael Longoria, Mark Lotito, Jennifer Naimo, Dominic Nolfi, Erica Piccininni and Sara Schmidt will join Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard, J. Robert Spencer and John Lloyd Young in the upcoming musical Jersey Boys. The tuner is scheduled to begin performances at the Virginia Theatre on October 4 one day later than previously announced.
Burgess was featured in Good Vibrations. Gouveia's regional credits include Jersey Boys and Pageant. Gregus has appeared on Broadway in Contact. Kehr's Broadway credits include Legend, The Human Comedy, The Who's Tommy and Aida. Longoria has appeared on the Great White Way in Hairspray. Lotito recently left the company of Fiddler on the Roof. Naimo appeared off-Broadway in Amphigorey: A Musicale. Nolfi toured around the country in Pokemon Live. Piccininni recently completed a run in the musical Palm Beach also directed by Jersey Boys helmer Des McAnuff at the La Jolla Playhouse. Schmidt has appeared on the Great White Way in Dance of the Vampires and Brooklyn.
Featuring the Four Seasons' hit songs "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Rag Doll" and "Oh What a Night," among others, Jersey Boys is the story of how four blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became the biggest doo-wop sensation of all time. Jersey Boys features a book by Academy and Emmy Award winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Bob Gaudio and Bob Crewe. Des McAnuff is the director. Sergio Trujillo serves as choreographer. Jersey Boys received a mixed to positive critical reception during its fall run at the La Jolla Playhouse.
